Your NBT/ZBE3 (touch iDrive controller) is for KCAN2 bus. You have to do a few wiring mods to get it working. Quote: Originally Posted by hipvspec.

For me the BMW Live and Browser work Ok and within BMW Live I have apps although the donor VIN doesn't have 6NR! (don't know if it's different Apps that come with 6NR). Donor VIN has 612, 614, 615, 616 options as well as 609, 6HL, 6NF. Now I have NBT_K with version MN-003.001.002 and TN-003.001.002 which I didn't find any update available to.
To change the IDrive options that don't show up, you will need to change the coding for the IDrive. Movies I don't think will be an option that is available. BMW shutdown the 2G services in the last couple of years, since 5G services are supported. Upgrading to the CIC would probably allow that option, but coding & programming would be needed
Additional Options: You can also choose to get a new style iDrive controller, faceplate, center console (black) and USB K+DCAN cable for remote coding. Non-iDrive to iDrive conversion: If your vehicle is currently not equipped with iDrive, you will need to purchase new dashboard, center console and iDrive wiring. Depending on your location, we
Hi, I am having the same problem, I updated my CCC unit on my BMW 535d 2006 by using Winkfp with daten 50.2. Everything works, ie steering wheel controls , eject buttons on the unit itself and the power/mute knob but my idrive controller knob spins freely and doesn't allow me to select entertainment, climate, navigation nor communication on the idrive screen.
BMW made parts:-CIC unit - $1000 on eBay, (65129199616 I think) included other parts noted below (actually I bought it outside of eBay to get the price lower, but that's not really the best idea usually)-Display ("CID") - Included (65829224346)-iDrive controller (optional) - Included (65829240957)
I have a E90 with the idrive controller not working, it doesn't even light up. The steering wheel air bag was deployd due to a small accident, i had to replace the positive battery cable after the accident. Before i replaced it, all electrical was working fine, but car didn't start due to the positive battery cable being detonated.
Hi all, Recently completed a CIC retrofit into my 2006 530i as the old CCC unit has died. We have installed, screen is working, CIC is operating and iDrive controller is functional. When we started coding, there was text on the menu. We completed the coding to link speaks + CIC which now plays music. In the process we lost all written options
4) Press and hold the volume knob on the center console below the Idrive screen for more than 30 seconds ( not the one on the steering wheel) 5) After about 30 Seconds you will see the Idrive screen go blank and then just show BMW. 6) Stop pressing the volume knob 7) Wait for the Idrive to reboot and return to normal screens 8) Test Voice Control.
I'm not aware of a dealer installed iPod option for the '08 5 series. My '08 ED 535 was ordered with the factory installed 6FL option which requires a dealer supplied cable that connects the iPod into the AUX and power inputs in the center console, and operates the iPod via the iDrive controller and screen.
E9X M3's have the same set up, so long as their equipped right. They always have the same amount of power though, their power setting just adjusts throttle sensitivity. The newer M5's have two red "M" buttons for having an extra profile to switch on the fly.
If your cruise engages and quickly disengages, broken teeth are probably your issue. Check out the 9 o'clock position of the gear wheel of the actuator on the left. You'll see a section of 4 or 5 teeth missing. The actuator on the right has a couple of chipped teeth and wouldn't hold cruise engaged either.
